Build a Niche Store: Researching your Niche online
Aug 13

I was reading through a blog today which i can’t remember the link so if any of you know please say, but I found a great post on how to get unique authoritative content, How can this be? If content is authoritative then that means it must be proven to work in the search engines. Yet if the content is unique then it can’t exist in the search engines. Hmm doesn’t make sense, the blog then goes on stating that content can be dropped from the search engines’ index, and all we have to do is find dropped content from the search engines and paste it into our Build a Niche Stores. There are many ways we an find this kind of content;

  • Archive.org: There is plenty of website we can search using this method, and we can immediatly spot the authoritive sites by checking there position in the search engines etc. So type in any old article directory website into the archive, it took me a couple of goes to find some working links with articles  on, most do not tend to be saved in the archive.
  • Do a SITE command in the search engines; for example (SITE:buildanichestore.com/members) etc If it doesn’t come up great! But also check your links with CopyScape.com and i’ve also found a nice new one (Duplicated content checker) It gives you direct links to the sites with your content on there, although people have said it not to be too reliable, so use other duplicate content checkers.
  • If it doesn’t exist in the search engines, take it ;)
  • Also try and look through site maps, forums, try comands in google (site:domain.com “Sorry this page cannot be found”) then use the cache function in another search engine which may not have updated yet.

If you have any more suggestions please comment, but Note: this is classified as a black hat SEO option, not by me, but by the person who come up with this concept, hes the SEO Expert not me, so use at your own risk, but i can’t really seem too much harm in this method, can you?
